The goal of the international college counseling office is to guide students and parents through the process of applying to universities abroad. We work with students at all grade levels. Our students are at the center of the process and we encourage them to be active participants in planning and making decisions for their future, and to take responsibility for themselves. We offer guidance in course selections, academic and extracurricular activities, summer options, test planning, the college application process and college choices.  Our aim is to find the school our student would be happy and successful in, basically the school that is the “best fit”. ICCO works in close collaboration with the Pyschological Guidance and Turkish University Guidance offices.

We share information through many opportunities that include evening events and presentations for families, individual meetings, guidance visits, application and informative workshops, university fairs and university visits. We have a large library that all students are welcome to consult. We provide support to our students at every step, provided that they are willing to take responsibility, stay committed and interested in the process.

We also represent ÜAA in many university fairs and visits both in Turkey and abroad.

Students: Please come by and meet with us during your lunch and breaktime! We are looking forward to meeting with you! If you would like a one-on-one meeting, you can set up an appointment through Petek İpekler (BO 108)

Parents: Please make appointments with counselors through Petek İpekler (Ext. 1187) Although this is a student driven process we would like our parents to be well-informed and comfortable during the application season.  We feel that parents should meet with us with the student at least once in 11th Grade and once again later in 12th Grade.

Colleges & Universities: Many universities and colleges from around the world visit ÜAA during the school year. Students who attend these presentations find them very useful. University representatives also often host workshops for students. University Representatives, if you would like to visit our school, please e-mail or call the college counselors at your convenience.
