What is the minimum acceptance score for UAA 2025-2026?

What is the total quota for the 2025–2026 Prep Class?
The total quota will be announced with the 2025–2026 Enrollment Guide.

Is the Prep Year mandatory?
Yes, the Prep Year is mandatory. It serves as a foundational year to prepare students for the intensive four-year high school program, focusing on the behaviors, skills, and knowledge expected throughout their education.

Which subjects are taught in the Prep Year?
Students take intensive English, a second foreign language, Turkish, Science, Math, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Music, Information Technologies, and Guidance.

Is there a boarding option at UAA?
No, UAA does not provide boarding facilities.

Can we visit the school before registration?
Visits for 8th grade students from middle schools will be announced. Individual visits are not possible. However, participation in "Campus Days" in the spring term is allowed through registration.

Will there be a school introduction day?
Campus Days were held in May and June, with five sessions in total. Individual visits are not accepted.

Will the enrollment process take place at the school?
Detailed information will be provided in the Enrollment Guide to be published on our website during the registration period.

What is needed for pre-registration?
On the dates specified in the 2025–2026 Enrollment Guide, clicking the active link on our website and entering the student's national ID number, date of birth, and phone number is sufficient.

Are quotas separated by gender?
This will be announced with the 2025–2026 Enrollment Guide.

What if someone other than the parent will handle the registration?
If the registration is to be done by someone other than the parent, a notarized letter of attorney is required. In cases of divorced parents, only the parent with legal custody can proceed, and the custody or letter of attorney must be presented during contract signing.

What if multiple people need to be authorized for registration?
Multiple people can be listed in one letter of attorney. Only the original document is accepted (photocopies are not valid).

What is the process for withdrawing registration after enrolling in UAA?

  • The parent or authorized person must submit a signed letter to the school.

  • The student is released via the e-school system, and the new school completes enrollment by accessing the student.

Is there a deduction from the paid amount in case of withdrawal?
According to Article 56 of the MoNE Private Education Institutions Regulation, if withdrawal happens before the academic year starts, 10% is deducted. If it happens after the start, 10% and the amount corresponding to days attended are deducted.

Who can withdraw a student from UAA?
Only those authorized for registration, as detailed in the previous questions.

How is the tuition paid? Is credit card payment available?
Details will be included in the Enrollment Guide published during the registration period.

How are uniforms, textbooks, meals, and transportation handled?
These details will be provided in the enrollment completion document shared with parents after registration.

What are the opportunities for Financial Aid?
Financial Aid Scholarships are provided based on the criteria defined in SEV’s Scholarship Regulations. They are granted for one academic year, based on financial need, and range from 10% to 100%. Families must reapply every year. Continued scholarship depends on academic progression and no disciplinary records.

Are there scholarships for Sports, Arts, and Science?
Yes. Scholarships are available for students admitted to or currently enrolled at UAA who actively engage in these fields.

Is there an IB Diploma Program option?
Yes. UAA has been an IB World School since 2014. Students can select six subjects from six disciplines, with three at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL).

What is the teaching staff like?
In the 2025–2026 academic year, UAA has 121 teachers. 22% are international faculty, teaching English, Math, French, German, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Our faculty focuses on preparing students to be problem-solvers, responsible individuals, and future-ready global citizens.

What extracurricular activities are available?
There are over 90 clubs in science, arts, culture, and social fields. Students are also encouraged to initiate their own clubs.

Are all classes taught in English?
All courses, except Turkish culture and applied subjects, are taught in English.

Which second foreign languages are offered and at what level?
German and French are available. Students are expected to reach a level where they can comfortably and accurately express themselves. Language proficiency exams are also supported.

How are students supported in career planning?
Career counseling is provided throughout high school with support from university counseling offices (national & international). The Student Career Center and Alumni Relations Office work in collaboration with the Alumni Association.

What is BYOAD?
BYOAD (Bring Your Own Apple Device) is a 1:1 learning model where students bring their personal Apple devices to school for educational use. It supports collaboration, creativity, and digital engagement.

Do students typically study in Turkey or abroad?
It varies each year depending on student interests. Many pursue higher education both domestically and internationally.

Are students required to participate in community service?
Yes. UAA places strong emphasis on community service. Every student is expected to complete at least one CALP project, with a minimum of 60 hours over four years. CALP promotes critical skills, empathy, and global awareness through real-life experiences.

Is there a UAA Alumni Association?
Yes. Established in 1952, the UAA Alumni Association promotes lifelong ties among alumni, offers scholarships, and organizes events like Brownie Day, Reunion, and Career Marketplace.

What is the average class size?
