UAA students proudly represented our school at the world’s largest hackathon, the NASA Space Apps Challenge, held in Istanbul and İzmit on October 4–5, 2025.

During this 48-hour challenge, our Prep students Ali Doruk Sever, Kaan Özkaymak, Alinihat Saydam, Anvar Gayıbov, Muhammed Mert Güller and Bülent Bural Egel used their creativity to develop a digital storytelling solution for one of NASA’s challenge topics.

Our Grade 11 students Doruk Alp Uzunarslan, Mirza Muradlı, Arda Aydın, Umut Altıntaş and Kaya Yetkin created an AI-based project titled BESR (Biological Experiment Summary Repository), a web platform that organizes and summarizes over 600 NASA space biology studies.

The BESR project ranked 3rd overall, earning the team a place in the Global Finals.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their innovation and dedication, and we wish them continued success in the world finals.
