With our Science program we aim to educate our students to:

 

  • display effective study habits through organizing their work, being prepared for class and meeting deadlines;

  • use correct terminology and effectively articulate scientific concepts in English;

  • understand and apply the scientific method to explore natural phenomena;

  • synthesize and evaluate ideas, solve problems, perform accurate analysis and calculations, and present results in the correct format;

  • be active participants in group work, developing effective communication and leadership skills;

  • make and interpret observations by applying scientific concepts and models;

  • demonstrate familiarity with laboratories, technology and equipment through practical work and problem-solving activities;

  • be responsible for the health and safety of both themselves and others whilst undertaking practical work;

  • make informed decisions on contemporary issues using the major principles and concepts studied;

  • develop effective real-world problem-solving skills;

  • think across disciplines;

  • be aware of the environmetal issues especially in terms of their scientific aspects and the associated impacts and be proactive to be a part of the solution.
